Look Who’s Praying!
Often
we don’t pray or believe in the power of prayer in a real way, because either
we feel unworthy, or we don’t know how to pray. Many Christians ask, “How can I
grow in prayer power?” The first step is a close look at the one who is praying
–You! God’s Word has so much to say about who you are in God’s
eyes after you accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. In fact it has so much to
say, it must be important to understand, as far as God is concerned.
The apostle Paul knew how to look at Christians. Once he said, “If
any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. . .” If you believe in Christ,
you are “in Him.” The Word of God tells you plainly who you are in Him. From
the instant you first believed in Him a miracle happened. In that instant you
became wonderful things; things not one Christian in a thousand grasps. Here is
part of what that Word says about you from the moment you accepted Jesus. Remember, this is God’s opinion, and
what He says in the universe goes!
The moment you accepted Jesus as
Savior and Lord:
1.
You were given power to become a child of God. (John
1:12)
2.
You were simultaneously adopted and born into the
personal, royal family of the Creator of the universe. (Rom. 8:14-17; 1 Pet.
